Abstract
- A velocity map imaging setup has been designed and fabricated at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg to study multiphoton ionization. This setup is placed in an optical cavity to amplify a frequency comb used to generate the photoelectrons. A rotatable wave plate can be used to change the polarization of the laser, by changing the polarization it is possible to view the electron momentum distribution from different angles. In this work, first measurements with this setup were investigated, and the resulting electron momentum distribution was reconstructed as a 3D model using the Abel transform and computed tomography.
