The role of multimedia communication in the Arab Spring

З’ясовується засоби та методи, якими здійснювалося руйнування соціальних суб’єктів в часи «Арабської весни». Звертається увага на нові явища в Інтернет середовищі, зокрема в соціальних мережах. Сучасні аналітики доводять, що на сьогодні в Арабському політичному процесі взаємодіють дві основні моделі – «аравійська» та туніська, при чому провідною у нинішніх умовах арабського світу є «аравійська» модель. На підставі отриманої інформації з’ясовано, що соціальні мережі та сучасні засоби комунікації використовуються дедалі частіше при мобілізації широких мас населення. Як наслідок, інтернет відіграє роль ефективного інструменту для створення та руйнування соціальних суб’єктів, як це спостерігалося під час хвилі демократичних революцій у країнах Близького Сходу і Північної Африки. Аналогічні процеси можемо спостерігати й у сучасних українських реаліях, оскільки соціальні медіа мають без сумніву значний вплив на виникнення нових форм громадянської активності й становлення політичної демократичної культури. The article looks into the means and methods used to destroy the social actors during the Arab Spring. Attention is drawn to new phenomena in the Internet environment, in particular in social networks. Modern analysts argue that today there are two main models in the Arab political process – the Arabian and Tunisian. The Arabian model, which is implemented first in the Arabian monarchies, is leading in the current conditions of the Arab world. On the basis of the information received, it has been established that social networks and modern means of communication are increasingly used in mobilizing the broad masses of the population. As a result, the Internet plays the an effective tool role for creating and destroying social actors, as it was observed during the democratic revolutions wave in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa. Similar processes can be observed in modern Ukrainian realities. As social media undoubtedly have a significant impact on the emergence of civic activism’s new forms and on the political democratic culture development.
