Specifications of building savings and mortgage loans in the Slovak Republic

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to reflect the current form of building savings and mortgage loans, as two banking products designed to offer the solution to housing needs, in conditions of the Slovak Republic. The introductory chapters are focused on characteristics and commercial terms of these products. In addition, I write about history of these products in the Slovak market. I deal with the state support as the primary incentive driver for greater propagation of these instruments. In the next parts I describe the actual products of Slovak banks. I offer the view on development of the interest rates and how they were reflected in loans being provided by banks. The last chapter explains main differences in comparison to the Czech market. The purpose of this thesis is therefore to analyze and describe the current situation on the market of building savings and on the mortgage markets.
