Escape games as a teaching tool: an example of use in geography

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the creation of an escape game as a teaching tool. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of using escape games in teaching and to propose specific applications in geography lessons. In the first part of the work, readers are introduced to the game in general terms, then to the didactic game, and last but not least to the escape game, where the emphasis is placed on its use in teaching. In the second part of the work is a compiled a general procedure for creating an escape game in education. However, the main topic of this part is the creation of two escape games. The first game focuses on the initial motivation for the thematic unit Europe. The second created game aims to repeat and expand the student's knowledge on the subject of Central Europe. This game is created in an online form, so it can also be used in distance learning. Key words escape game, didactic game, teaching geography, Europe
