Abstract
- This Bachelor's Thesis deals with the topic of values and job satisfaction. The goal of this thesis is to analyze relations between values and satisfaction of workers, and to determine the generalities concerning this topic. Theoretical part is divided into two sections referring to values and satisfaction. The first section provides definitions of values, possible classifications, historical progress etc. The second one consists of definitions of terms, such as satisfaction, work, and motivation. Then follow the factors affecting job satisfaction. The fields of values, satisfaction and motivation are bound together by Herzberg's motivation-hygiene theory. Practical part is composed of secondary analysis of relevant data derived from the two questionnaire surveys: "Work Orientation (ISSP 2005)" and the "European Values Study - ČR 2008". The data are analyzed using the method of grounded theory. In conclusion generalities based on this method are supplied.
