Abstract: In the first chapter, the thesis states main features of international trade in oil. The second chapter is focused on the historical developments of world oil production, particularly on three oil shocks and the stagnation since 2005. The last chapter compares the impacts on real GDP growth, current account and real estate market in Czech Republic, USA and Japan.
