The Contribution of O. V. Almazova and S. L. Almazova to the Study of the Problems of Development, Learning and Education of Children with Disabilities

В статье рассматривается научно-исследовательская и педагогическая деятельность О. В. Алмазовой и С. Л. Алмазовой в подготовке дефектологических кадров в Уральском государственном педагогическом университете. The article is dedicated to the memory of O. V. Almazova and S. L. Almazova. It considers the activities of the scholar, pedagogue and tutor, one of the successors of the Ural Scientific School of Defectology, Candidate of Pedagogy, professor of Department of Special Pedagogy and Special Psychology of the Institute of Special Education of the Ural State Pedagogical University O. V. Almazova, who contributed much to the development of the system of training defectological personnel in the Urals-Siberian region and far beyond. The mainstream problem of Olga Vladimirovna's research activity was diagnostics of various forms of dysontogenesis in persons belonging to various age groups.The paper also includes memoirs of Svetlana Leonidovna Almazova, Candidate of Psychology, Associate Professor of Department of Special Pedagogy and Special Psychology of the Institute of Special Education of the Ural State Pedagogical University. Her research interests embrace gender role behavior and education of schoolchildren with intellectual disability.
