Механические свойства керамических композитов на основе NbB2

In this study, we performed NbB2 and NbB2-SiC samples by hot pressing sintering and investigated the effect of SiC addition on the mechanics and properties of the samples. The addition of SiC firstly increased and then decreased the density of the samples. Besides, the microhardness and elastic modulus of NbB2-based ceramic composites decreased with the increase of SiC powder content.
