Aquileia, scavo nei quartieri nord: alcune ipotesi di ricostruzione

Les fouilles effectuées dans les quartiers nord de la ville de Aquileia ont révélé un secteur de l’agglomération antique, qui englobe une partie d’un ilot d’habitations au croisement d’un decumanus et un cardo. D’après l’analyse préliminaire il est possible de tirer quelques idées pour la reconstruction du plan urbain dans sa plus ancienne définition et pour le rétablissement des différentes phases de l’edification de la ville. Gli scavi effettuati nei quartieri nord della città di Aquileia hanno rivelato un settore della città antica che comprende parte di un isolato d’abitazione, posto all’incrocio tra un decumano e un cardine. Da una prima analisi dei dati, è possibile formulare alcune ipotesi per ricostruire l’impianto urbano nella sua struttura più antica e le successive fasi di edificazione della città. The excavations carried out in the neighbourhoods north of the city of Aquileia have revealed an area of the ancient city, located at the intersection between a decumanus and a cardo, which includes part of a residential insula. A preliminary analysis of the data, has allowed to reconstruct the urban structure in the most ancient and in the later phases.
