The Use of multidisciplinary approach for the characterisation of a diploid parthenogenetic Artemia population from Torre Colimena (Apulia Italy)

A diploid parthenogenetic strain of Artemia has been found in the Torre Colimena hypersaline lake. The species coexists with another anostracan of the genus Branchinella. The present described strain is compared, with a multidisciplinary approach, with other parthenogenetic Artemia strains from all the Mediterranean basin.
