Abstract

Coumarin and its derivates are an important group of heterocylic compounds which are found in various plants exhibiting a wide variety of biological activities. Their potent biological activity is the main reason for finding new methods for their synthesis. In the last few decades, many achievements have been made in the field of green chemistry. Therefore, in this work coumarin derivates were synthesized using deep eutectic solvent (choline-chloride:urea), which are ecologically acceptable compared to conventional organic solvents. This work describes alkylation of rhodanine derivates with 3-(bromoacetyl)-2H-chromen-2-one in solvent with K2CO3 as a catalyst. Structures of all compounds were confirmed by LC-MS/MS spectroscopy and compounds were characterized by Rf values and melting points.
