An outlook on poems by Ömer Seyyfettin

Türk edebiyatının önemli yazarlarından olan Ömer Seyfettin, daha çok hikayeci yönü ile ön plandadır. Ancak kendisi, edebiyat dünyasına ilk olarak şiirle adım almıştır. Seıvet-i Fünun dönemine dahil edilebilecek olan bu şiirler, daha çok ferdı konulan işlemesi, kısmen de olsa devrin sosyal ve siyasi meselelerine değinmesi açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır . Biz bu çalışmamızda, realist bir hikayeci olan Ömer Seyfettin'in şairliğini tanıtmaya çalıştık. İlk olarak yazarın şiir anlayışı ve şairlere bakışı üzerinde durduk. Ardından şiirlerini konu, şekil özellikleri, vezin hususiyetleri ile dil ve üslup çerçevesinde değerlendirdik. Böylelikle ünlü hikayecinin şair yönü ve şiirleri tafsilatlı bir şekilde ele alınmış oldu.
Ömer Seyfettin, one of the most important authors of Turkish literature, is in the f.oreground with this stories. Yet, he took his first step into literature world with poetry, these poems which can be included in the period of Servet-i Fünun are of utmost importance because they mentioned the social and political issues of the era. [n this study, we tried to introduce· the poetry ofa realistic story writer, Ömer Seyfettin. First of ali, we focused on the writer's perception of poetıy and his attitude to poels. Then, we evaluated his poems in tenns of plot, fonn, meler, tone and style. So the poelical aspect and poems ofa well-known story writer has been dealt with.
