Pay, Metin, Kozmolojik Delil ve Richard Swinburne, Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Danışman:Prof. Dr. Recep Kılıç, 113 s.ÖZETBu çalışma, Tanrının varlığını evrenden yola çıkarak delillendiren kozmolojikdelili ele almaktadır. Tezin amacı, kozmolojik delilin dayandığı ana ilkeleri tespitetmek, değişik versiyonlarını ele alarak değerini belirlemektir. Delil önce tarihi gelişimiiçinde incelenecek, slam felsefesi ve Batı felsefesi bütünlüğü içerisinde ele alınacak,getirilen eleştirilere yer verilecektir. Daha sonra Swinburne'ün geliştirdiği versiyontemel kavramlarıyla açıklanacak, modern felsefedeki yeri, eleştiriler ışığındatartışılacaktır.Tez giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmuştur. Giriş, delilin tarihçesi ve delile yöneltileneleştiriler olmak üzere iki alt başlıktan oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde, delille ilgili temelkavramların analizi yapılmış, bu bağlamda kozmos ve kaos, sebeplilik, zorunluluk,imkan ve epistemik ihtimaliyet kavramları incelenmiştir. Swinburne'ün delilinin anakavramlarından olması sebebiyle tümevarım yöntemi, tümdengelim yöntemi ilekarşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınmış ve delil açısından taşıdıkları değer tartışılmıştır.Ayrıca tümevarım, sebeplilik ilkesiyle ilişkisi açısından değerlendirilmiş ve eleştirilereyer verilmiştir. Swinburne'ün delilini anlamak için anahtar kavramlar olan açıklamatürleri ve basitlik ilkesi de bu bölüm içerisinde incelenmiş, filozofun görüşleridoğrultusunda evreni açıklayan alternatif hipotezlerin değeri ele alınmıştır.Swinburne'ün kozmolojik delilinin incelenmesinden oluşan ikinci bölüm üç kısımdanoluşmuştur. Önce filozofun Tanrı'nın varlığı konusundaki delillere yaklaşımı elealınmış, daha sonra kozmolojik delili, önceki versiyonlara yaptığı eleştiriler ışığındayeniden inşa edişi açıklanmış ve son olarak modern felsefede kendisine yöneltilenbazı eleştirilere yer verilmiştir.Sonuç olarak, kozmolojik delil, düşünce tarihinin en eski delili olarak değişikversiyonları ile ele alınmış ve dinamik yapısı ile modern kozmolojideki gelişmelereparalel olarak yeniden değerlendirilmiştir. Swinburne'ün tümevarımlı olarak yenidenoluşturduğu kozmolojik delil, delilin diğer versiyonlardan farklıdır ve kişiye Tanrıinancı hakkında sağlam rasyonel gerekçeler sağlar. Böylece Swinburne'ün delilinin,Tanrı'nın varlığını başarılı olarak kanıtladığını söyleyebiliriz. Aim of the thesis is todetermine the major principles which depends on Cosmological Argumentand to analyse value of Swinburne?s version. Firstly, the argument will bestudied in its historical evolution with the unity of Islamic philosophy andwestern philosophy, and the critics will take place against it. Afterwards theversion which Swinburne constituted will be explained with major conceptsand its place in modern philosophy will be discussed according to critics.Thesis has got introduction and two other sections. The introductionhas two sub-sections which are the history of the argument and the criticsagainst it. In first section, major concepts of which related to argument areanalysed, in this matter concepts of cosmos and chaos, causality, necessity,contingency, epistemic probability are investigated. The induction wasstudied with deduction in comparison because it is one of the major conceptsof Swinburne?s argument and the values which were related to argument hasdiscussed. Besides, the induction was evaluated according to principle ofcausality and the critics were took place. The key concepts which are thesimplicity and kinds of explanation were evaluated to understand theargument of Swinburne and also the values of alternative hypothesis whichare explain the universe were studied according to ideas of Swinburne. Thesecond section which is formed by investigation of Swinburne?s cosmologicalargument has three parts. Initially, Swinburne?s approach to arguments forthe existence of God was studied and then his re-constitution of argumentaccording his critics to previous versions, and after that some critics wereused against him in modern philosophy was explained.Finally, the Cosmological Argument was studied as the oldestargument for the existence of God in history of philosophy and it is evaluateddifferently as paralel to developments in modern cosmology with its dynamicform. The Cosmological Argument that Swinburne re-developed inductively isdifferent from the other versions of the argument and it provides strongrational grounds to human being about believing in God. Therefore, we cansay that Swinburne?s argument succesfully proofs God?s existence. 116
