Les cheminements de l’Église bulgare vers une émancipation et une autocéphalie face au patriarcat de Constantinople avant la période ottomane

Ce chapitre analyse les tendances à l’indépendance ecclésiastique en Bulgarie à partir de la fin du IXe siècle (arrivée des disciples de l’apôtre des Slaves Méthode) jusqu’à la reconnaissance de l’autocéphalie en 1235 sous le patriarche Germain II de Constantinople. Une attention spéciale est accordée au prétendu synode de Preslav de 893 et aux événements de l’année 927. This chapter analyzes the tendencies towards ecclesiastical independence in Bulgaria from the end of the 9th century (arrival of the disciples of Method, the Apostle of the Slavs) to the recognition of autocephaly in 1235 under Patriarch Germain II of Constantinople. Special attention is given to the so-called Preslav synod of 893 and the events of 927.
