[Study of the level of benzo(a)pyrene and N-nitrosamines in the feed of laboratory animals]

BP level in feeds of experimental animals (rats and mice) did not exceed 1.5 micrograms/kg, whereas the concentration of NDMA in plant feeds ranged 0.35-1.7 micrograms/kg. The latter concentration in mixed feeds was higher (1-40 micrograms/kg) which was attributed to one of the ingredients, viz, fish feeding flour.
