Abstract: A 70-year-old man with cStage III A(cT3N2H0P0CYXM0)advanced gastric cancer in the lesser curvature with esophageal invasion and bulky lymph nodes was treated with S-1/CDDP. After 4 courses of chemotherapy, the tumor and lymph nodes were found to be reduced in a CT examination. Total gastrectomy with lymph node dissection(D2)was performed. Histopathological examination revealed no cancer cells in the stomach or lymph nodes, indicating Grade 3.
