РОЛЬ СІМ’Ї У ДУХОВНО-МОРАЛЬНОМУ ВИХОВАННІ ОСОБИСТОСТІ

The valuable moral foundations of Ukrainian family life are described in the article; the influence of Christian traditions and customs on the formation of morality and spirituality of the child’s personality is analyzed; the need to return family education to religious foundations is emphasized, with the aim of reviving spirituality and improving the health of modern society. It is emphasized that spiritual Christian ideals are correlated not only with religion, but are perceived as universal instructions that have an absolute, universal character, and the criterion for choosing the necessary values is the “standard of Good”. Spiritual and moral education of an individual is not influenced by politics, social attitudes, economic priorities, etc. This is the process of creating moral and spiritual foundations based on eternal principles and ideals that correspond to the ideas of democracy, realization of human rights and freedoms, recognition of dignity, equality, and respect. Belief in them ensures the reliability and effectiveness of education, leads a person to morality, spirituality and harmony. It is proved that Christian values form the basis of the spiritual and moral life of Ukrainians and occupy an important place in the formation of their worldview, help to understand one’s purpose, to determine the vector of the right path in life. In the family, the task of raising spirituality, which contains the following components of personality culture, is realized first: intellectual, communicative, national, artistic-aesthetic, family-domestic, political, legal, and ecological. Parents make sure that their children know folk ethics (customary norms of behavior, Christian moral commandments, speech etiquette), and education necessarily involves free-thinking the formation of patriotism, national consciousness, devotion to loved ones, and responsibility. The general organization of Christian activities in the family circle is of great importance: church attendance, daily prayers, observance of fasts, reading of the Holy Scriptures, church holidays, joint confession, blessing, repentance, vow, etc. Under the conditions of peace and love in the family, the norms of Christian upbringing are accepted by the child without special teachings and become the rules of his life. Then she has the strength to resist the natural instincts of selfishness, to keep them under control, to dominate them, choosing spiritual and moral values. In general, Christian ethics has the following advantages: spiritualization of the inner world of the individual; the use of humanistic means of educational influence; concentration on the ecology of the child’s soul, etc.
У статті охарактеризовано ціннісні моральні основи життя української родини; проаналізовано вплив християнських традицій та звичаїв на формування моральності і духовності особистості дитини; наголошено на необхідності повернення сімейного виховання до релігійних засад, з метою відродження духовності й оздоровлення сучасного суспільства. Доведено, що християнські цінності становлять основу духовно-морального життя українців і займають важливе місце у формуванні їхнього світогляду, допомагають зрозуміти своє призначення, визначити вектор правильного шляху в житті.
