Abstract
- Introduction. The results of theoretical and empirical research of psychological phenomena of perfectionism and procrastination in student youth are presented in the article. The main approaches to understanding the essence of the phenomenon of procrastination are analyzed: psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive. The main reasons for perfectionism are substantiated. The relationship between the level of perfectionism and the level of procrastination has been established. Purpose. The purpose of the article is theoretically analyze and on the basis of empirical research to determine the features of the relationship between perfectionism and procrastination in student youth. Methods. Theoretical (the analysis of the literature, theoretical date generalization) and empirical (instrumental and statistical) research methods are used. Originality. The phenomenon of perfectionism has a complex nature, the development of which is determined by a group of factors: personal (needs, motives), family, society, culture. At the personal level, the needs for comfort, recognition, fear of being neglected, desire to appear perfect, attitude towards results, conservatism and conformism are important. It was found, as a result of an empirical study that more higher the level of perfectionism characteristic of the individual, the more likely it is that the individual is prone to procrastination. There is a clear feedback: the more prone to procrastination a person is, the more likely he or she is to be very diligent when it comes to performing his or her duties, and to strive for the best possible task. Conclusion. In modern psychology, perfectionism is understood as the psychological quality of individual and collective social subjects, which is manifested in the pursuit of excellence in personal and social life (high standards and requirements for themselves and others, their activities, the desire to bring the results of any activity to ideal , in need of constant development and improvement of themselves, the people around them, the world in general. To eliminate the external causes of procrastination, first of all, we need to learn to manage your own time, if you need to learn to have time to do in the shortest possible time the maximum number of the most important things to advance to vital goals. In the case of effective time management, a person will receive undeniable benefits and may even force time to work for themselves: to achieve more in less time; become more organized, which will reduce the time spent on distractions and trifles; learn to focus on the most important issues, which will increase the effectiveness of decisions, there will be more space for creativity and free time for yourself.<br />В статье представлены результаты теоретического и эмпирического исследования психологических феноменов перфекционизма и прокрастинации у молодежи. Проанализированы основные подходы к пониманию сущности феномена о крастинации: психодинамический, поведенческий, когнитивный. Обоснованы основные причины перфекционизма. Установлена взаимосвязь между уровнем перфекционизма и уровнем прокрастинации.<br />У статті представлено результати теоретичного та емпіричного дослідження психологічних феноменів перфекціонізму та прокрастинації у студентської молоді. Проаналізовано основні підходи до розуміння суті феномену прокрастинації: психодинамічний, поведінковий, когнітивний. Обґрунтовано основні причини перфекціонізму. Встановлено взаємозвязок між рівнем перфекціонізму та рівнем прокрастинації. &nbsp
