Abstract
- We show that detector switching profiles consisting of trains of delta couplings are a useful computational tool to efficiently approximate results involving continuous switching functions, both in setups involving a single detector and multiple ones. The rapid convergence to the continuous results at all orders in perturbation theory for sufficiently regular switchings means that this tool can be used to obtain non-perturbative results for general particle detector phenomena with continuous switching functions.<br />Comment: 22 pages, 6 figures.
