Abstract
- Traumatic injuries to subclavian artery are uncommon vascular injuries, seen in 2% of the patients presenting with trauma. However, they form an important cluster of cases since high mortality and morbidity is reported. Traditionally treated with surgical repair of the artery, emergence of endovascular therapy has provided a valuable alternative for their management. Although considered as a safer approach, endovascular stenting is not free from its own set of challenges. We report a case of subclavian artery injury with pseudoaneurysm and arteriovenous fistula, which was treated with endovascular graft stenting occluding the ipsilateral vertebral artery.
