According to Günther Anders' thought, in the mass society humanity is no longer in charge: machines have been entrusted with our world's destiny. In his view, the mass media, while entertaining us, are taking away from us the possibility to express ourselves, to have our own desires, to be free. This article has the purpose to show that Anders' opinions are still valid, especially in our days, with the impressive spread of the most important innovation of our time: internet.
