Abstract
- Our purpose is to present a structural study of three famous comedias: Peribañez y el Comendador de Ocaña, La villana de la Sagra and Quien mal anda en mal acaba. The first two are related to the figure of Saint Roch, his hagiography, his iconology and the devotional rites to which he is subjected, including bullfighting games. A mysterious Spanish tongue twister states that the dog of Saint Roch had its tail amputated. The third comedia in our corpus could explain its origin.
