In recent years, studies have found that the occurrence of sarcopenia in chronic kidney disease is related to factors such as chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, abnormal hormone levels, insulin resistance, excessive angiotensin Ⅱ, vitamin D deficiency, hemodialysis, and movement disorders. This article provides a review of its pathogenesis.
