FROM PAPERS TO DOCUMENTS: MONTEIRO LOBATO (1882-1948) AND OTHER BRAZILIAN MODERNISMS

The article presents in detail the genesis of the Monteiro Lobato Fund, at CEDAE/Unicamp, covering from the initial project to the development of the Archive over the years. Some sections are more explicit, such as letters (some transcribed), photographs, books and presence in the media. It highlights its role for a more complete knowledge of the audiences and backstage of Brazilian literary history of the beginning of the 20th century, beyond the current stereotypes about the writer.
