The ergonomics and application of short diagnosis in a pottery workshop in the city of Itacoatiara/AM

This work examines the application of short diagnosis as a tool for the survey of the ergonomic and organizational aspects in a pottery workshop in the city of Itacoatiara/AM. In terms of the approach to the problem, , the study is characterized as qualitative and exploratory in relation to the objectives. As for the technical procedure, the study adopted action research. Sampling was of an intentional non-probabilistic character using the following research techniques: (1) indirect documentation; (2) intensive direct observation; and (3) extensive direct observation. Among the main results, we have a short-term diagnosis (eight days); identification of improvement points related to the productive aspects; recognition of ergonomic aspects focused on environmental issues and the activities of production operators. The relevance of the study lies in an action-oriented methodology, where its application demands a short deadline and identifies organizational and ergonomic demands.
