Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the relationship between human capital and economic growth for the State of Paraná from 2000 to 2010, using panel data. The regression to the State of Paraná and for most of the mesoregions suggests that human capital is significant and positive to explain economic growth, and the educational level that represents the proportion of the EAP with complete high school and incomplete upper, had the higher coefficients. Therefore, it is possible to observe that human capital is a relevant factor for Parana's economic growth
