- Abstract Background The etiology of bone marrow lesions (BMLs) without knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and their association with bone fragility are unclear. We aimed to investigate the association between BMLs, bone mineral density (BMD), and bone markers in women without radiographic evidence of KOA.
