Introduction to the Section on Workforce Development

When unemployment is high and education budgets are shrinking, people flock to community colleges and other providers to learn new job skills. Asynchronous and blended education provide solutions for meeting large scale demand, thus this issue features four cases about innovative workforce development programs.
