Abstract

Introduction. Surgical treatment is the treatment of choice in patients with symptoms and radiological signs of femoroacetabular impingement. Objective. Our experience and early results of surgical treatment of patients with signs of femoroacetabular impingement and early hip osteoarthritis are reported. Methods. The results of treatment of 21 patients aged 23-54 years with different types of femoroacetabular impingement are presented. Safe open surgical dislocation of the hip was performed in all patients. Before and after surgery, the WOMAC score was performed, clinical and radiographic data of the operated hips were evaluated and t-tests were used for statistical analyzes of data. Results.
