Objective: Renal tubular acidosis (RTA) is a clinical manifestation that occurs with insufficiency in restoring bicarbonate or disruption in hydrogen ion elimination as a result of a disruption in tubulus functions, causing normal anion gap-opening metabolic acidosis.
