Abstract
- Abstract Objective The non-invasive and inexpensive predictive indicators seem to be essential for the evaluation of coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) prognosis. Uric acid to high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol ratio (UHR) have been known as inflammatory and metabolic biomarker in some disorders. This study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of serum uric acid (UA) and UHR values on admission as prognostic indicators for the severity and mortality of COVID-19. Regression models were accomplished to assess the association between UA and UHR with the severity and mortality of COVID-19. Results This study was performed with 424 confirmed COVID-19 patients.
