Abstract

Based on a survey conducted in different bases of academic data such as journal articles, undergraduate final papers, theses, and dissertations, this paper presents a critical analysis of different fields of knowledge in the scientific production on Somatic Education, aiming to support future work. The research was quantitative and documentary and it had aspriority sources CAPES site and the Brazilian National Library of Dissertations and Theses (BDTD) site. It was concluded that Somatic Education is multidisciplinary and it has the largest academic representation in the field of Arts, followed by the Health sector, possibly reflecting its origins and applications.
