Advances on Axial Coordination Design of Single-Atom Catalysts for Energy Electrocatalysis: A Review

Highlights The burgeoning research topic of axially coordinated single-atom catalysts (SACs) is briefly outlined in this review. A comprehensive summary of the recent advances on synthetic strategies and electrocatalytic applications of axially coordinated SACs is provided. The challenges and outlooks for future axially coordinated SACs study have been emphasized.
