Abstract
- In order to solve the problem of redundant time slot allocation for single node sectors, too large overhead and excessively long time spent for beamforming training under mobile scenarios in existing directional MAC protocols, this paper proposes high slot utilization rate and fast directional MAC protocol(HUFD-MAC) for Terahertz wireless personal area networks. The HUFD-MAC protocol uses redundant single node sectors to transmit downlink data and reduces the number of transmitted beam training frames based on time information. This effectively improves the utilization of time slots, reduces network overhead, and decreases the time required for beamforming. The simulation results show that compared with the IEEE 802.15.3c and ACAP-MAC protocols, the network overhead of HUFD-MAC is reduced by about 3.23%, and the MAC layer throughput is increased by about 8.50%.
