Protocol for measuring NLRC4 inflammasome activation and pyroptosis in murine bone-marrow-derived macrophages

Summary: NLR family CARD domain containing protein 4 (NLRC4) inflammasome activation and the associated pyroptosis are critical for protection against infection by bacterial pathogens. This protocol presents a detailed procedure to activate and measure NLRC4 inflammasome activation and pyroptosis upon Salmonella Typhimurium infection.
