Abstract

Background: This study planned to investigate the relationship of dynamic thiol/disulfide homeostasis with the prognosis of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Methods: 80 patients who had been diagnosed with MDS between 2012 and 2017 and who were older than 18 were included in the study together with 80 healthy control subjects. The MDS diagnosis was confirmed using bone marrow aspiration-biopsy immunostaining. Dynamic thiol/disulfide homeostasis and ischemia-modified albumin (IMA) levels were examined.
