Abstract
- Entrepreneurship Development has been among the key thrust areas of economic development, however, still, there lies a paucity of information related to the factors that make people, especially the younger generation become entrepreneurs that lead to the education for sustainable development. The younger generation in this study refers to university students. An attempt has been made through this research paper to ascertain the factors influencing the younger generation to become entrepreneurs. In order to expand on the theory of planned behavior framework and clarify the impact of such support on student entrepreneurial ambition, this study embraced the theory of planned behavior perspective in conjunction with perceived family support. The analysis has been performed on a data set of 221 questionnaires and Structural Equation Modelling has been adopted to avail the results using AMOS software. The findings show that MF (Motivational Factors) and FS (Family Support) have a significant effect on the EI (Entrepreneurial Intentions) of the students. It has also been observed that FS (Family Support) intensifies the association between MF (Motivational Factors) and EI (Entrepreneurial Intentions).
