Abstract

In order to obtain the dynamic stress response of the drum and main shaft of a friction hoist under dynamic loads, a dynamic stress calculation model for the friction hoist was constructed based on the flexible multibody modelling method. This approach integrates modal flexible bodies and finite element flexible bodies to visualize the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the friction hoist. The fatigue load spectrum of the main shaft and drum of the friction hoist was obtained, addressing the structural strength analysis and dynamic stress response calculation issues under dynamic loads. This method can be used as an alternative to traditional constant amplitude design load applications for fatigue strength assessment.
