Abstract
- This is an article in the field of environmental engineering. The problem of soil heavy metal pollution is closely related to the security of arable land area and food security in China, and the application of industrial solid waste to passivate heavy metal contaminated soil is a low-cost and high-yield solution. This article combs the progress of research on the passivation of heavy metal contaminated soil by three typical industrial solid wastes, namely, red mud, fly ash and steel slag, systematically reviews the effects of red mud, fly ash and steel slag on the occurrence form of heavy metals in soil and crop growth, and analyzes the disadvantages and potential problems in the use of red mud, fly ash and steel slag as soil passivation agents.
