The limitations in the quantification of sexual harassment in the workplace in Spain Las limitaciones en la cuantificación del acoso sexual laboral en España

Sexual harassment in the workplace is the main topic of this article, undertaken in response to the need to shed further light on a reality of undeniable interest and relevance that has become a major social problem in the labor market. From the extracted information in an inquiry, now in course, the text presents and analyzes the many constraints under found professionals and researchers when they seek to provide quantitative information on the phenomenon. Through knowledge of these obstacles we can advance in the complicated task of defining and measuring sexual harassment in the workplace, either through greater transparency of information practices, or through the methodological decisions become more appropriate.El acoso sexual laboral es la temática principal de este estudio, realizado atendiendo a la necesidad de aportar más conocimientos sobre una realidad de indudable interés y laboral. A partir de la información extraída en una investigación, actualmente en curso, el texto presenta y analiza las múltiples limitaciones con las que se encuentran diversos profesionales e investigadores/as cuando tratan de aportar información cuantitativa sobre el fenómeno. A través del conocimiento de estos obstáculos se puede avanzar en la complicada tarea de delimitar y medir el acoso sexual laboral, bien a través de prácticas de mayor transparencia informativa, o bien a través de las decisiones metodológicas que se tornen más adecuadas.
