Abstract
- ABSTRACT: Laser direct writing of graphene features selective patterns with accurate control, flexibility in substrate choice and environmentally friendly process compared with conventional mechanical exfoliation/chemical deposition methods. Here, we report a photodetector with broad and fast photoresponses (from the visible to the near-infrared spectral range) fabricated by mask-free laser direct writing on polyimide. By optimizing laser parameters, the highest responsivity achieved is 0.25 mA W−1 for visible and 1.34 mA W−1 for near-infrared. The rise and decay times of the photodetectors are less than 4 s for visible light and less than 2 s for the near-infrared. Overall, the one-step laser direct writing of graphene on polyimide proves to be promising for constructing photodetectors, opening more opportunities for cost-effective and high-throughput production of efficient optoelectronic devices.
