Conformation of a bound inhibitor of blood coagulant factor Xa

Nuclear maganetic resonance analysis of the human factor Xa-an amide-imidazoline inhibitor complex, in solution, suggests that the inhibitor binds following the orientations of the imidazole ring contrary to the crystal structure data in which imidazole fits tightly into the hydrophobic S4 site of the human factor Xa.
