An efficient synthesis of 2-substituted 6-methylpurine bases and nucleosides by Fe- and Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of 2,6-dichloropurines

Research has been conducted on by iron- and palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. The authors describe the reactions of 9-substituted 2,6-dichloropurines with methylmagnesium chloride catalyzed by Fe or Pd, and report the results.
