Exercise and diet in obesity treatment: an integrative system dynamics perspective

Abstract: Research shows that physical activity, diet, and body composition interact in the prevention and management of obesity. Results suggest that knowing the quantitative imbalance between energy consumption and energy expenditure and modifying weight gain behaviors help prevent obesity. A computer-based System Dynamics model is presented.
