Termobahia GT24 plant: helping Brazil reduce its reliance on rain; there's an awful lot of hydro Brazil. But this creates problems at times of low rainfall. The gas-fired Termobahia combined cycle cogeneration plant, which uses a GT24 gas turbine, is part of Brazil's efforts to reduce its overdependence on water power. As well as providing electricity to the Brazilian grid, Termobahia will also provide steam to the adjacent refinery
