Bias claim by private school's leader

Carol Evans, president of the Girls' Schools Association, has launched an attack on the government's policy of fostering partnerships between independent and state schools. She criticised apparent discrimination against teachers in the independent sector, which are not eligible for initial teacher training, funding for the National Professional Qualification for Headship or New Opportunities Fund money for ICT training. Evans said the independent-state partnerships are not two-way.
