Abstract: The crystal thermal conduction and thermomechanical properties of (EYGCOB) crystals disclosed by Raman data and thermal expansion of Er: Yb: GdCa(sub 4)O(BO(sub 3))(sub 3) crystals are presented. The suitability of EYGCOB crystal as an infrared radiation laser at 1500nm using a pump wavelength of 1000nm from InGaAs diode laser is described.
