Abstract

The endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOs) expression in endothelial cells from normal and preeclamptic pregnancies are determined to investigate the potential role of eNOs in regulating endothelial permeability in preeclampsia. The messenger RNA and eNOs expression are decreased in endothelial cells from preeclampsia and the inhibition of eNOs activity has increased the endothelial permeability.
