Abstract

The dependability of the theoretical technique applied for the explanation of the electronic structure of the hydrogen-bonded network is evaluated by a comparison of the estimated geometry parameters with existing parameters. Cyclic structures with S4 symmetry similar in the hydrogen-bond composition to that of the water tetramer are found as minima at the potential energy surface of silanol tetramers.
