Theoretical evaluation of the global and local electrophilicity patterns of singlet carbenes

Abstract: An absolute scale based on reactivity indexes and an extension of it to describe the local electro-philicity power of molecules was used to evaluate the global electrophilicity pattern of singlet carbenes. Additional information regarding electrophilic activation/deactivation patterns induced by substituent groups in the molecule is provided by the local analysis.
